OK so i am spending way too much time configuring custom setups for my web servers.

Can you not provide a simple web based configuration xml text file upload and download capability such as it is with the web pages etc. I am not likeing this xml command line twiddling thingy

    Please

You can export and import your XML configuration with the WebAPI. Look in the User Guide (http://www.lantronix.com/pdf/xPico-Wi-Fi_UG.pdf) Chapter 5 for information on that. Specifically, you're looking for Export Configuration Group and Import Configuration Group.

The User Guide includes examples for using curl to do this. If you'd rather have a web-based GUI instead of the curl command line, you can use a REST Client for your browser.

      Firefox has REST Client

      Chrome has Postman

Can you tell me when there will be a firmware release with RS 485 half duplex support ? and do you know if there are any plans for integrating modbus ascii support and yes when will it be released ?

Those two features won't be in the next release (Release 4). I don't have visibility into plans of future releases, so I don't know when we should expect them.

For information on features that will be beyond the next immediate release, you should contact your Lantronix sales person, as it will probably require an NDA.
