  • Running application at start of unit

Hello, I am a student working on a project with the Xport Pro. I was wondering if there is a way to have an application run as soon as the device turns on. I have written an application, and I am ready to drop the Xport onto a board, but cannot go in through HyperTerminal each time to turn the application on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Daniel.

    P.S.
I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong section. I am sorry, I am not sure how to delete the post.

You could either add a line to the /etc/inittab file to execute your application. A better solution might be to add the program execution line to the /etc/init.d/rcS script which is already launched through /etc/inittab.

      Thanks

Thank you for the quick reply. However, I was wondering if there was a way to change the setting before the image is flashed onto the xport. I cannot seem to find the proper files to change.

      Thanks again,
      Daniel
