  • Matchport bg query

    Hi
    Our system is
having 8 to 10 micro-controller boards. Matchport bg device is interfaced to all boards on their RS232 port.
Out of all microcontroller boards one is a Master & others are slaves.
Master has memory to store the system configuration parameters.
Master sends these parameters to slaves one by one.
Also Master sends few commands to all the slaves which are of broadcast type.

So how can we achieve with Matchport bg device to send broadcast (our proprietery) data frames from master to all slaves?

Note: - We have selected Ad-hoc mode. There is no access point in our system.

    Thanks,
    Nilesh

Nilesh, you question is very unclear. Are you using RS232 or RS422/485? RS232 is not meant to be point-to-multipoint.

2ndly, whatever you write to the serial port on the Matchport (whether from your firmware or via a socket tunnel) goes out to all of the slaves. It sounds like you need to read up on addressing modes in RS422/485.

3rdly, what wifi mode you are in makes no difference in sending the data thru to your devices.

    So please clarify your question.
