  • Reading authorisation password via XMLReadValue_malloc

    Hi,

    in our device (Matchport AR Evolution OS), the password for entering the configuration page
    should contain some digits of the serial number.
    Therefor I want to make sure that the right password is already configured.

    When I read the password via XMLReadValue_malloc(), I always get 0...

    xmlReadValueSpec.type = XML_READ_VALUE_TYPE__CONFIGURATION;
    xmlReadValueSpec.groupName = "http authentication uri";
    xmlReadValueSpec.optGroupInstance = "/config";
    xmlReadValueSpec.itemName = "user";
    xmlReadValueSpec.optItemInstance = "Username";
    xmlReadValueSpec.optValueName = "password";
    value = XMLReadValue_malloc(&xmlReadValueSpec);
    How to read the password?

    Or is it a good idea to write the desired password on each startup?
    Would it stress the Eeprom or is there a check by the Matchport if the
    values are equal before writing?

    Michael
